4. Medical Payments Coverage
This type of coverage helps cover you and your passengers’ medical expenses after an accident.
5. Personal Injury Protection Coverage
Also known as PIP, Personal Injury Protection Coverage helps pay for things like lost wages, medical bills, regardless of who’s at fault.
6. Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Coverage
Protects you if you are in a hit-and-run accident or if you are hit by a driver who doesn’t have insurance, or doesn’t have enough insurance to cover your expenses. Insurance companies must offer you this coverage, and if you don’t want it, you must communicate your decision in writing.
7. Towing and Labor Coverage
As the name suggests, this coverage pays if your car needs to be towed or if it requires labor such as changing a flat tire.
8. Rental Reimbursement Coverage
Rental reimbursement coverage covers your expenses if you have to rent a car if your vehicle is stolen or has to be repaired after an accident.
